Three-time Rally Cross champion Avik Anwar will represent Bangladesh in the coming series of Ameo Cup, organized by Volkswagen Motorsports in India. Avik Anwar is one of the few drivers of the country who clocked lots of mileage at international racing tracks. Now in Canada, Avik is in the process of renewing his racing license and also getting some open wheel racing experience for the Ameo Cup.
He drove the Van Diemen Formula Car at the Circuit Mont Tremblant in Canada for the racing license renewal program where he had to beat a pro instructor’s time. During the program he demonstrated superb consistency, he was the fastest in the first two sessions and had to change his car for the third session due to some technical issues, and yet he managed third fastest time for the final session.
The Volkswagen Ameo Cup will kick off in July and will feature three races in this season. We wish Avik Anwar all the best and hope that he makes our country proud in the international motorsport event.
