According to reports from both Germany and the UK publications suggest that, the 2015 LeMans 24h winner, Nico Hulkenberg has now agreed a two-year contract to cover the 2017 and ’18 seasons, with an option to extend the deal into a third season in ’19 at Renault, with his final release from Force India still to be agreed. The deal is said to be worth of €18-million.
The report became stronger when Hulkenberg himself made a post on his instagram account
Rumors also circulating that Renault is chasing Valtteri Bottas to partner alongside Nico Hulkenberg in 2017. Where as previous reports and rumors suggest that the Williams driver has his eye on compatriot Kimi Raikkonen’s seat at Ferrari in 2018.
This news turns out to be a bad one for the current Renault drivers- Kevin Magnussen and Jolyon Palmer, both of them yet to secure a spot in F1 for 2017.
