Gone are the days, when American Muscle cars were only known for 1/4 mile drag strip blistering times! The western manufacturers seemed to shifted their ideology and the new Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is the proof of that after it recorded a blistering lap of 7:29.60 at the Nurburgring.
The new Camaro ZL1 boasting 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque with 10-speed automatic transmission, managed to shave 11.67 seconds off from its predecessor. If we look at the fastest lap chart of Nurburgring, the Camaro ZL1 comfortably beats Koenigsegg CCX (7:33.55) and CCR (7:34.00) times. The lap time was 3 sec faster than its native rival, Ford Shelby GT350R’s run at the Nurburgring.
