Aston Martin adds a Vantage variant with hardcore racing DNA. It’s called the GT8 and it takes inspiration from the 2016 V8 Vantage GTE race car. Thus, it’s package is a combination of less weight, more power and much downforce. Aston Martin will make a limited number of GT8, Only 150 will be built – 50 more than the 12-cylinder sibling.
The GT8 packs a 4.7-liter V8 heart producing 446 horsepower. Aston Martin offers two choice for the transmission, either a six-speed manual or the even-speed automated manual. The GT8 clocks 0-100 in 4.5 second with the top speed of 305 km/h.
Thanks to the magic material known as Carbon Fiber which makes it the most lightest V8 Vantage ever built. At 1,510kg it’s a full 100kg lighter than the V8 Vantage S (and 55kg less than the GT12). Even the bucket seat is made out of carbon fiber and paired with a weight saving manual adjustment system. In order to make it more diet version, Aston Martin offers carbon fiber roof as an option as well. The only thing that isn’t made from the carbon fiber- is the windows!
To make it civilized by some extent Aston Martin have thrown in A/C and audio systems. The GT8 boasts a titanium exhaust system which is sweet enough to give any auto enthusiast an eargasm! Dont believe us? Just listen to it in the sneak peak below.
